NonViolent Owensboro is a newly formed chapter of Campaign Nonviolence whose mission statement is: We are Owensboro area citizens committed to practicing and promoting nonviolent living through education and community partnerships. The chapter was first formed from attendees at an informational presentation made by Mary Danhauer at last year’s Faith Fest. The films are documentaries on the topics of Bullying, Torture, and Middle East Peace. They are scheduled for Tuesday-Thursday, 25-27 July 2017. Showings are at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Owensboro, at the corner of Cedar and Parrish, beginning at 6:30 pm and concluding by 8 pm. Popcorn and water will be available. Conversation will follow each movie to allow viewers time to process the information. (Wednesday evening’s film on Torture Survivors is not appropriate for children.)
