Owensboro Convention Center Interfaith Service & Blessing

Interfaith Service ministers on stage
Owensboro Convention Center Interfaith Service & Blessing Sunday, February 2, 2014

Rev. Randy Jones, Woodlawn United Methodist, organized an interfaith service through the Owensboro-Daviess County Ministerial Association. Participating representatives were from Temple Adath Israel, Islamic Center of Owensboro, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Zion UCC, Woodlawn UMC, Tri-State Hindu Temple, Tri-State Jain Community, and UUCO.

Each representative offered a teaching or prayer about the importance of places, community, and right intention. Visit InContext to read the presentation from our Minister Rev. Dr. Claudia A. Ramish

Wild Mountain Thyme offered several pieces of music on American folk instruments as part of the service. The service took place in the West Ballroom on the third floor after a buffet lunch. The warm atmosphere created in the Ballroom helped us face the snow and cold that greeted us outside when the service was over!

Veggie Feast: An Alternative Lenten Meal

Veggies have never tasted so good! UUCO cooks, Trinity Episcopal hosts, for this around-the- world-veggie-dish feast held on a Friday evening during Lent. It’s a fund raiser—we sell the food—but the value-added camaraderie is free.
